you can see the moisture levels running in the low 70s, very humid steamy conditions continuing. in fact, you can see what happened. we go from 820890 degrees -- 88 to 90 degrees. we have the steam bath factor. some storm action mainly to the south over the va, shenandoah area and the northeastern states, a couple of hit and the mills showers, high pressure in control with that hot hair continuing to flow up. it's what we call a dirty high. instead of a crystal clear dome, the blue sky high pressure system. in this case it's a weaker area. there are showers sing around the edge of this thing that has kept temperatures down but the humidity has been to the east and to the west. the extreme heat has been there, 104 now in st. louis. 105 way up in des moines, iowa. it could be worse this time of the year. a couple of showers and storms in the picture tomorrow. showers and storms south and west of us. as we look further out, we think the better chance for a break will come wednesday into thursday. we can see tomorrow we're right back up into the 90s. heat indices over 100. the latter
