tim williams is tracking more rain and storms on live doppler radar. tim? >> certainly, the type of rain we need is a steady soaking rain. we got more than that last night with a little bit of the cost of flooding and damage. we do have showers in the area in the baltimore metro area, we are getting a bit of a break right now. we have rain moving from the west and another evening full of storms firing up. take a look right now. the storm prediction center issued a slight risk advisory for our area south of the metro area and the entire eastern shore. most of the top tier of the state is not involved in this but because of the rain and drenching downpours that they could likely produce, we do have a flash flood watch in effect for much of the state and this is all through this evening as well as the slight risk category for the storm. we have this rain move for the rest of the day but have had rain. we send it to marty bass. marty? >> that's what counts. we have a graphic for you. for the most part with 1.06 inches of rain at b.w.i., still a little down for

we go to meteorologist tim williams. good morning. >> definitely watch the storms roll through here. it's been almost 48 hours. what we are doing now is setting the stage for today. 76 degrees right now. wow that is not excessive heat right now, temperatures reflect a bit of a heat index. do points pretty high. you feel it as soon as you go out. but there are small improvements as we move into this day. first off, we did not have any severe storms roll through yet today. spotty showers not expect the temperatures. as a result, the national weather service has listed the heat warning in place for the state. that just simply means instead of starting with forecast highs around 100 and the heat index up around 110, we are looking at a forecast high today of around 95. the heat index will still be around 100. i still have that number. again, it's a small improvement. folks will not be quite as uncomfortable. temperatures are trending down which means there'll be a a little relief. radar shows that there are still other storm

meteorologist tim williams is here now with the updated numbers from first warning weather. >>> goodfternoon, everyone. clouds out there blocking the sun a little bit. we've had a little breeze from the north. between them, we have seen temperatures hovering in the mid-80s, actually. what we're going to see is the temperatures staying around the mid-80s to about 90 degrees for the next few days. this rain is still associated with that stationary front, that stalled front down to our south. it's trying to move into the region. and as high pressure still eases slightly off to the east, it's going to allow more and more of that rain to move into the region. what we're dealing with now is 85 degrees. 77 in oakland. 86 in elkton. and 79 in ocean city, where the wind has been coming in off the water. high pressure is going to continue to ease off the coast and over into the atlantic. it's going to allow for a little bit of that rain to move in. a chance of rain pretty much each day for the next few. but no washout. we'll talk about how it impacts us coming up. >> thank you, tim. >>> let's
