we could have a tropical system however it's flirting with parts of the southeastern united states andect for us here in the midwest that tends to migrate northward and that can build a big dome of high pressure ... lee have some clouds developing on the southern end of lake michigan ... it can show how expensive this warm air is getting ... looking at the southern end of the lake there are towering cumulus clouds we could get an isolated showers from those but the rain is in the southeast ... florida has had nearly 6 in. of rain yesterday ... back up here, this area near lake avila saw the heaviest rain storms we're looking at other accumulations ... there are some flood watches in parts of north florida and there's a fire alert in parts of nebraska kansas wyoming and red flag warnings out west fires are burning out there ... the smoke clouds are expansive out of northern california and washington state they can be seen from outer space ... we are lovely and comfortable here in chicago into the low 70's 90's are on the way to the plains states that's a sign of things to come here ...
