it's a contract that exists between the san francisco art commission and the san francisco symphony. nd we find that to be a clear violation of the charter's intent. in 1935, during the ends of the depression or the continuation of the depression, the san francisco symphony was nearly bankrupt. the city of san francisco, the citizens of san francisco, as they have done in numerous occasions, voted in a tax, an adadd vel orm tax, a property tx for the purpose of maintaining a symphony orchestra. that tax now generates $2 million annually. we think that that's wise. look at what happened to the san francisco symphony. it's world-reimpound. renowned. it has done everything that it was intended to be. however we uncovered a contract between the san francisco arts commission and the san francisco symphony, which is a four year contract starting in 2010, running through 2014, in which the san francisco arts commission gives the san francisco symphony $2 million. the san francisco symphony, however, gives back to the arts commission, 40% of that, or $800,000. there are no restrictions on the

during the tenure at the san francisco puc mr. campbell used his experience in the energy generation field to guide community choice aggregation to the creation of the clean power sf program and for those who have been working on this for so many years they know that -- i think all of us recognize that taking that job was a very courageous ookt on the part of mr. campbell. he crafted several proposals to ensure that the program had technical assistance and service provider in order to launch. he lead the negotiating team to acquire contracts for energy supply as well as back office services, critical launching to the program. he lead countless meetings between the puc and community advocates and the commission and reflected not only what we needed to see as a city agency and address the needs and concerns outlined by the advocates. mr. campbell's monthly updates to this body were instrumental in letting us know what was happening and we especially appreciate the fact that he always took the feedback into consideration and we wouldn

san francisco. city college is the largest work force training center in san francisco. we train students. we also help students learn english as a second language and then of course one of our primary missions is to help students, particularly low income and underserved students, move on to 4 year institutions. we serve nearly 100,000 students in san francisco and are a tremendous resource, we think, for san francisco. the last couple years the state budget cuts we faced, $53 million in the last 3 years alone, have really made it a challenge for us to keep our doors open for san francisco students and this proposition a would make a tremendous difference in addressing our fiscal problems right now. >> understood. thank you. starchild, can you present some of the thoughts around the opposition? >> sure. we all believe in people getting an education and having those opportunities be affordable and accessible to them, but city college's financial problems, we believe, are not due to state budget cuts primarily but due to fiscal mismanagement. the accreditation report that came out recently f

daas is working with the san francisco transitional care program to forward these goals and maximize independence of seniors and persons with disabilities living in the community to reduce readmissions and of course ultimately reducing institutionalization. the san francisco care program, transitional care program, has been in operation since 2000. it collaborates now with 8 hospitals and 8 community-based organizations. the hospitals that are included in this are the california pacific medical center which includes the 3 campuses, the pacific, st. luke's and daly's, st. francis, ucsf and chinese hospital. the community-based organizations include of course the san francisco senior center, which is also part of ncphs, the institute on aging, catholic charities, self-help for the elderly, curry senior center, kimochi vernal heights senior care center. i'm going to turn it over to dana to explain about the program. >> so the san francisco transitional care program is a 4 to 6 week program that's going to be incorporating the coaching model of care. and in that they are going to be integ
