e-mails that prompted the investigation we know her identity. >> there are some concerns over whether petraeus' mistress knew state secrets. doug the latest. >> what we are learning now is the affair between david petraeus and his biographer paula broadwell may have been something of a known secret and something the fbi may have known about for months there. may be questions about whether broadwell may have disseminated classified information in recent months as well. the fbi has been looking into this case for quite sometime. it began with threatening e-mails sent by broadwell to the petraeus family friend kelly not romantically linked to petraeus. they released this statement we and our family have been friends with general petraeus for over five years. we respect his and his familiar lace privacy and want the same for us and our three children. all of this raises questions of timing. was this information all held until after the leblgs to protect the president? the white house says no but some lawmakers felt blind sided. >> then when these questions came up i obviously tack took t action myself to try to find out and then in
