i think i grew up really fast. i grew up really fast in this fast-paced business. dn't understand how to take a break, recover, and i paid for it. i got down. i guess even depressed in some senses. i found myself in a place where all i was doing was crying. and i thought, not me. i am a bubbly person. so a good friend of mine told me that i should take a break, see the world, go somewhere, and that is when i chose to go to egypt. so i took this trip. it was the first time in my life i took those weeks of. we were in the temples, and it was a place that was so magical and intelligent and inspiring, and i had seen all of that power and beauty and structures, and i felt i knew how to rebuild myself, and when i came back, i knew how i wanted to change. it is definitely the beginning of where i am now. when i was pregnant, my husband said, and he is such a big and important part of your life, why do you not made it egypt? and i thought, that is it. he was egypt in the embryo stage for so long. tavis: i do not need to name names here, but to your point about growing up fa

i actually really believe that we need to move forward quickly as a city. i want to make sure we're successful in the program. while we don't have all the details of the early notification and education plan there, the framework is clear and i think it's a good starting point to move forward for the city and i believe that while we have had comments about talking about caution i think they're well meaning how to have a successful program but i think the success of the program is that we roll out quickly with the notification and the education plan. that's going to be most meaningful. i also want to make sure that we're really clear that the effort is really working in the deep green areas first and foremost where we know a particular target audience is for the message and we know how to craft that message for them as well. i think that is going to be significant. we're not reaching out to every population in san francisco from the get go but the deep green area is where we need to focus the efforts on. this plan incorporates that and i believe it's the right

to the cops you know side here i mean really when you're looking at these trials here it almost seems like a kangaroo court where you have the jury pool the judge all kind of giving the cops this advantage i do think think they give him some advantage and a lot of this has to do with people trust the police and in most cases i'm a former police officer in several different jurisdictions and i can tell you most police are good people trying to do a great job it's a very tough job but i think the fact that sometimes the. people do juries do give deference to cops they do think that they do the right thing i think in some cases that really the alarms go off when they can tell when something's wrong they want to trust cops but sometimes they can tell when they shouldn't and i think a lot of times juries get it right with these things well that's that's good to know and you know just to let our audience know i don't think a lot of people realize that what you said before you don't need to open your door you don't need to let police come inside your house unless they do have probable cause

matter what your social economic increase level, it's always san francisco first with him and i think that is really whats important. that is one thing that i take away with my service with him is he has always offered to advise either whether it was unsolicited i has always overed advise even when it was unsolicited and it has been very interesting too to observe him and how he waved his irish cult tram pride into everything that he does and he certainly does in my eyes and planted a seed of interest i look forward on the next trip to ireland -- hint hint whoever is organizing that and it has also been very beautiful to watch his relationship with his wife jennifer johnson grow it's been a privilege watch but i didn't watch michael be conceived but i did watch him grow but to know that they were two separate entities that came to be and i think the role of jennifer she was also very helpful in helping me make the transition and helping me understand the benefits and what it means to serve san francisco and how she was just very helpful in that transition and as a family as a collective unit i belie
