i think that having an analysis and a report before us to compare will help us to decide in the future about bringing in-house and we can also ascribe to -- in developing a plan for an in-house operation for budget and legislative analysis services. we can create a menu of options as well that we know we're actually getting ourselves into by going down that pathway. so, i'd like to create a similar pathway to make a decision around in the future in-house versus contracting out that service. so, in the meantime i'm happy to support contracting out and moving with a contract for at least a couple years before making that decision about bigger change. >> great. if i could make a suggestion, just to follow-up on your point, madam chair, that once we award the contract, it isn't until that point that i'm directed to begin the informational hearings which could [speaker not understood] how we can bring it in-house. >> that would make sense. that would limit staff in terms of having your folks focus on completing that and doing that well and moving forward with the next step. >> okay, thank y

there are many, many people in many different locales that need to be interviewed that will assist us in helping us arrive to a successful conclusion. the straight-up answer to your question right at this point in time, we don't have that specific answer. >> schieffer: can you tell us any more about the family? we know this person killed his mother, shot her in the face. did your police-- or did the local police, did they know anything about this family? were there ever police calls to their house? was there anything that they would have come to the attention of local authorities? >> no, sir. there-- there-- initial information we have is that the local police department did not have much contact with-- or any contact with this family. that's-- that's historical information that we need to ensure that we peel back like an onion. we're going to look at every single level of any contact that anyone had in any location, even in any state. >> schieffer: have you found any suicide notes, any kind of notes of any kind? i understand there were a couple of computers that you may have recovered that had bee

you talk to us and help us understand it. tell us a little about this organization, your organization "campaign to fix the debt." what exactly are you trying to do? >> well, the campaign to fix the debt was really born out of some of the issues surrounding issues of the debt ceiling. people around the country became painfully aware the divisions in washington are may be so large we will harm our economy and harm our problem as they fail to solve problems and work these things out. over the past year, we have been joined by 300,000 saturdays, 100 of the leading ceoas, and small businesses who have said we need fix the debt, that we know. but we wanted to create a different kind of campaign where we come to washington, and while you have so many folks on side saying, "don't touch this. don't touch this. take this off the table." suddenly you're left with nothing on the table to fick the problem. we wanted to create a broad-based bipartisan group to work with members of congress to come up way deal. over the past week, we met wit
