cbs 5 reporter elizabeth wenger is in san francisco with the story of a video that has a police sergeant in hot water. >> reporter: it should be interesting to see what happens next. yeah, the biggest question is why? it's pretty astonishing video. it was taken in broad daylight so you think that's the time when typically a lot of cars, a lot of traffic here at the broadway tunnel. and so the driver started here ee here at larkin and gunned it through the tunnel to chinatown. here's the video. [ engine revs ] >> reporter: it was posted on sergeant carl t's facebook page and was first obtained by sfist. it was seen in the broadway tunnel in a matter of seconds. there is no way to identify who was driving but in the comments section of the facebook page, he even bragged, we were all drunk. folks we showed the video to were shocked but others say since there were no other drivers around, no harm no foul. >> is he going to lose his dog in that's very reckless. >> took advantage because he was a cop. >> probably want to do it differently or not at all. >> reporter: we should note the officer

let's go over to elizabeth wenger looking at the weather throughout the bay area. >> yes. you can really see it. we have had flash flood flood warnings and wind advise i since overnight, pretty much in the entire bay area, set to expire at 1:00 this afternoon in the north and east bay. this is what is going on. heavy to moderate light systems flew the bay area. this is what it looks like from the view of the roof camera. a lot of readings in the 50s as far as the temperatures go. the flooding is really a concern right now because the ground is saturated from other rainstorms. the great highway suggest down for a stretch and delays at sfo. official there is are saying to expect delays throughout the day. by this afternoon the rain will let up a bit. temperatures readings in the upper 50s. by this evening the rain will be out of here and we are drying out by christmas eve. the next storm comes in on christmas day by the afternoon tuesday to wednesday before we really dry out. then we will have a good sized dry weather pattern thursday through next weekend. much more on this

top of the situation, the hardest working woman in show business, ladies and gentlemen, elizabeth wenger>> thank you, thank you. we have dramatic music booming through the studio, as well! the drama. it's because of all these colder temperatures out the door. actually a blanket of clouds across the bay area is slowly clearing and that's why temperatures are falling, as well. look at napa, fairfield, getting pretty close to that freezing mark. 33 right now in fairfield. 34 in napa. a little more mild in oakland and fremont. but still cold in the low 40s. so what's going on? we have this area of low pressure. it's bringing a colder air mass across the bay area. it's even colder by overnight tonight. we're looking at freeze warnings already posted for parts of the north bay. we're expecting to see some 20- degree readings by this time tomorrow morning. for right now we're for exampling on these cooler temperatures. this afternoon breezy. so it may feel colder than it is. going to struggle to get out of the low to mid-50s. temperatures are going to be anywhere from 4 to 7 degrees below what

. >> to sort out the traffic impact, elizabeth wenger reports. >> right there by broad and plymouth youthe fire trucks. they are blocking the tracks on the m oceanview line so they are having to use bus shuttles instead. it's affecting outbound service. the bus shuttles are in place for people heading from that neighborhood out towards west portal. all other muni lines on time and bart no longer experiencing residual delays. they got the fremont line on track. ace and ferries good to go. word of an overturn on westbound 580 on the approach to 980. the overturned car on its roof blocking at least one lane. so we'll continue to keep you updated there. in the meantime, back outside here's a live look across the golden gate bridge. both directions flowing nicely this morning. they did lane changes early and so far, so good along the stretch and continues to move down on 101 and 280 along the peninsula. let's take a quick look towards the bay bridge toll plaza. the metering lights have been on since just after 6:00. and so now we have delays quickly stacking up launch to the macarthur maze.
