glassworks at holmegaard, and we have otto brown...1962. pierre lutkin's carnaby...1968. and christer holmgren also as an element of the carnaby range, 1969. that's wonderful. and you think of that name on the holmegaard ones-- "carnaby." it just says it. the end of the '60s-- these possibly the most famous single pieces of late '60s glass. if you think of the red london bus and the swinging london and all that carnaby really kinda says it all, doesn't it, really? well, it does, yes. i can see it now. but the one that really caught my eye is this little beasty. really? that's a very nice thing. what's the story of that one? a friend of mine she actually bought it at a car boot, thought i might like it, and posted it off to me, and it got it and was so very disappointed 'cause i thought it was broken and not the typical mdina piece. so it's taken a bit of a backstage at home.
