bel air checking in at 41. winds are coming in from the north around the metro area, not tapping into brutally cold air. most of our neighbors are in the same temperature range. the colder air is back to the west and midwest. this is indicated with the next system that will come through here tomorrow evening into saturday. it's part of this same pattern that we've been dealing with every so many days. every 3 days or so we get a quick moving clipper system, generating in canada moving into the region and moving out of here before and after or temperatures are warming up. today we melted down everything that was on the roadways from yesterday. still a lot of coverage on the grass and the bushes. it's going to warm up again today. tomorrow we get back up into the 50s. with that mild air in place this system comes through again tomorrow night into saturday. again, we should repeat the same drill of slick roads in the over night hours, a bit of a dusting and little coating in the over night hours friday into saturday and then it moves out of here again. the difference this time is that saturday and sunday w

were responding to was a car crash, about two miles north of my location here in abington, where route 24 hits wheel road, before you get to bel air. we're told multiple vehicles involved in that crash. it's certainly possible that the wet roads played a role in that crash. state highway crews have not seen the need to be out salting the roads. they have been ready to do that all day. they've been posted along the highways, 95 and the other big highways and the interstates in the area. but they have not needed to deploy that salt. all we've seen so far is a light mist and pretty heavy rain at times. we're also seeing high wins. this is a storm that the state highway crews say they were ready for. they know it was never going to be as serious as it is no the north and east, places like new york and new england. but they had to deploy just in case rush hour got too slippery. in har ford, cecil county, maybe an inch or two. it doesn't look like the central maryland region gets much if anything. but we will, i know, we'll keep a close eye on it. so we just saw an ambulance roll by here on route 24 heading north. likely heading up to t
