they have a really nice article in there about the transbay project and the importance of labor in their continued support to our project over many years, thank you very much for acknowledging us and the magazine. and in addition, board members, i did sign out a letter from anvill builders as you may recall. it is a company that we awarded a contract to in november of last year for 9, 250,000, million, and they sent a letter thanking us for all of the work that we are doing regarding minority owned business and i want to thank everyone because we are doing a good job in that area. in addition, i wanted to report that last saturday, there was a very tragic incident that occurred on third street where a bicyclist was killed in a collision with a cement truck. and i know that our chair person kim has been very concerned about traffic and safety for pedestrians and bicyclists which is busy in that area understandable because we have a lot of events and on that particular day was an appreciation day and so we have asked the department of parking and traffic to come and give us a report and a

and i also think as the transbay terminal itself is enabling a sustainability form of transportation and brings a very big environmental benefit to the region, i think it's very appropriate that we would be powering it with clean hetch hetchy power. so i commend the puc for an innovative and aggressive proposal and i think this is a win-win and good for the puc and it's good for the project and it's good for the city. so i think i'm happy to see the recommendation. thank you. >> i will just concur with director reiskin. and i think over the last -- actually over the last year the board of supervisors has spent quite a bit of time comparing rates and offerings between pg&e and puc with community choice aggregation. i think i came out of that process with incredible faith with the public utilities commission to really work through and offer the best deal possible both for the city and i do think it's a big win-win in terms of the revenue that is going to flow back to the city. and of course, the savings that will occur at tjpa and of course, the environmental impacts or the benefits is

we also have transbay, high speed transit center that has been digging down for six months and it is down there on probably first and main. and they are putting in their heating systems and as we speak. we just gave them an addendum for their training boxes. and we will see if there is any transit that will go to them. and we just started work on central subway. we just received, yesterday i believe, for the removing the boring system out of the built in a theater in north beach. speaking to the city planning, this trend shows that no sign is slowing down as we probably have just as much as we have. the planning process is some what slower, but the volume is higher. so what you see is going to continue for the next year or two years. on the private side we have similar projects for 41 stories, 45 lancing that has been up and down for the last six years and finally going to build it. that is 39 stories, 8 washington. and just a lot of discussion going on with that and i don't know if they will build it. we have met with pec last week on that something about a side sewe r that is right

the transbay tower was approved and grant all the project entitlements. and we entered into a purchase agreement for sale of the property for $19 million. we expect closing to occur in march of this year, no later than april 1. parcel b also known as block 11a construction began on the ray cousin apartments which is 120 units supportive housing project by bridge and community [pao-erpb/]ships. it's a partnership with the mayor's office of housing and the redevelopment successor agency and we're very proud of that project because it's our first affordable physically supportive housing project that is under construction. blocks 6 and 7 the redevelopment successor agency developed 409 market-rate and 150 affordable housing units and they are currently finalizing negotiations on the development agreement with that developer and block 9 the redevelopment agency received three proposals for 550 units with 20% affordable and at the appropriate time i will come back to the board with the results of the bids. with respect to our current costs and schedule status a
