i'm elaine mary weather, united educators of san francisco. i am just wondering who will speak up for the children? who will speak up for them? our department has suffered so many cuts, we have been cut to the bones. and so, i mean, this is really, really sad. because we were here last year we got the most cut out of any department in this district. and once again, transportation, busing is being cut. and a lot of our children depend on the buses to get to their after-school programs. and where are those buses being cut? >> they are at heart, mcclarin the bay view, the mission. these are our children and they look like me and they look like you mr. carranza. and they are the ones that are going to suffer when the parents have to take three buses just to pick up their children and then go back to their own community. what i am disappointed about is we knew about this busing problem three years ago there was no plan to figure out how we were going to fix this problem. it is not like it is just happened. and so, we have to really think about who
