the investigators have left after having them processing the scene here lattimer and dumpster for thet several hours. this is unusual for the city of campbell. several years since someone was murdered within this town. last homicide taking place in 2007 and police are trying to figure out this one in a neighborhood of apartments and duplexes not far from hamilton and winchester. police found the victim in the area after someone called 911. richard vega, an 18-year-old man, was bleeding having been shot more than once. he died a little bit after midnight during emergency surgery. >> at this point we're looking into all possibilities. we don't have any solid evidence that the victim was specifically targeted or that it's gang related. we're certainly considering those possibilities in our investigation and our investigators are contacting family and friends and witnesses to help us determine the cause and who may have done this. >> reporter: and there was a witness who saw someone leaving the scene headed toward winchester just after the shooting. this person was driving a dark sedan. p
