it is great to be back here on the smu campus. and during my time here, i was fortunate to befriend [indiscernible] and it is always great to see her back on campus. ims each fan of the work of the power center. am a huge fan of the work of the power center. he was a mentor to me and cows and the others. kopp -- and thousands of others. i believe we need more women at every level of the political process. we tend to be a problem solvers and we have some problems that need solving these days. i am heading to a different academic setting. i'm going to boston later this week where i will serve as a fellow at the institute of politics at the kennedy center at harvard. i have so enjoyed being back home in taxes. my husband seems to be glad i am living in the same city. i enjoyed being a little less visible and not having my name mentioned in headlines or nasty gossip columns. because i have been on television so much over the last presidency, we still have a lot of karen sightings. of a woman once said to me i know you from somewhere.

and most amazingly, smu announced today that the george w. bush presidential library is almost ready to open. they have set a date. the george w. bush presidential library will open to the general public for the first time on the ten-year anniversary of the mission accomplished speech, in which president bush announced that the united states had prevailed and major combat operations in iraq were over. that was six weeks into a war that would go on for 8 1/2 more years after that. on the ten-year anniversary of mission accomplished, they're going to open the george w. bush presidential library, which is actually perfect. honestly, any had to pick a date, that would be the date i would pick. what could be more fitting? >>> but we begin our show tonight with the historic civil rights cases that are going to be argued starting tomorrow in the united states supreme court. we now know what the ticktock will be like as far as how this gets argued. it starts at 10:00 a.m. eastern and the oral arguments in the case will last an hour. as always, there

. >> brown: mishent minter, caroline hoxby, smu both very much. >> thank you. >> thank you. >> suarezlly tonight, an online spat that's causing havoc around the world wide web. hari sreenivasan has the story. >> sreenivasan: one company fights spam; the other is said to be behind sending those pesky e-mails. a dispute between the two has led to one of the largest reported cyber attacks in internet history. thresu: wideread congtionhat's slowing access for millions of users to sites like netflix. nicole perlroth has been covering the story for the "new york times" and joins me now. thank for being with us. >> thanks for having me. >> suarez: let's set the table here. what is happening in this particular seeber attack? >> it's very technical, but essentially, what happened was this group that sends out a black lest of spammers to e-mail providers so they can block the spammers blocked a group called cyber bunkers, which hosts web sites anonymously. they say they'll host anything with the exception of child pornography and terrorists. shortly after this happened, you saw spam house, this

. -- smu the prime minister tries to pin down the president on when they're going to act. and i think he is not going to have that kind of discussion because he is not going to want to get a question from the president, if the president wants to pin him down what commitments he is prepared to make. so i think what you're going to have is a conversation that focuses much more on where they the iranian program and is what is the meaning of prevention. when you have an objective of preventing iran from having nuclear weapons, what is the point at which prevention could lose its meaning? and i can envision a kind of conversation between the two that focuses on the full array of the iranian nuclear cape abilities. when the prime minister laid out his redline in new york, he focused on one narrow aspect of the iranian nuclear program and that was the accumulation of medium enriched our rainom and he identified one bomb's worth as being a red line. it's rather interesting that the one thing that the iranians have really y slowed down on is the accumulation of their medium enriche
