the apple daily is one of four major newspapers and is known for publishing articles critical of china. they signed a deal last november to acquire the "apple daily" from a hong kong-based company. it has close ties with china and already own other newspapers and tv stations in taiwan. the plan purchased sparked concern about china's increasing control over the taiwanese media. tens of thousands of people protested. they consider china's limits on free speech and the press unacceptable. taiwan's fair trade commission took a cautious approach in reviewing the deal. the deadline for an agreement passed on wednesday. >>> thai government regulators had their first talks. represents gathered for closed door negotiations at a police training center in the malaysian capital. they say they're members in kuala lumpu, and the members known as the brm discussed militia groups. militants carried out attacks in two provinces. one happened the day before the meeting and one happened just an hour before the talks. in that case, a bomb killed three military rangers. the national revolution front is ju

the stock. and finally, if we look a little bit closer on the daily chart, we can see that apple has broken abovedefined six-month down trend. in addition, today, it's finally broken above its 50-day moving average for the first time since last october, so all that says to us it's moving higher, likely to the 500 area, potentially up to 550. >> jeff, what about the fundamentals. who do you like better? >> bill, john laid out some great charts there, but ask any pirate. there's a lot of great charts sitting on the bottom of the ocean. and it really feels, bill, it's really not put in a bottom. even after this recent buoy, we're flat on the month. there's no momentum in this stock and it hasn't found a bottom. we're really looking for it to go down, because at the end of the day, bill, this whole broader index, all-time highs in about every index, we are seeing apple struggling for its life. therefore, when we do see a market correction, apple will go back down to 400. >> but do you like blackberry? >> i do like blackberry. i like the trade momentum here. we're seeing this big move, about 30% even

apple has issues right now. the issue is the stock goes down every day - lower lows, lower highs on the daily chart. 75% of the time it goes down from the open to the close. they can do many things. unlike other companies, they can do things to rectify their things, which are spending their cash, extra dividend, maybe buying some stock back, or this phone in china would be huge. > > okay, the bigger play, i think, obviously is google. you have the android surpassing, and we are going to have more phones with this android, and you are going to see 1.5 billion phones sold by 2017. and the growing area is not china, it is brazil and india. so that is where the android is going to take over. > round three: the bitcoin: the bitcoin is an online currency. that is up 230% just since the start of the year. but gold, which has been around forever, is way down. what does that mean? > > i still like gold. i think gold here at the $1,550 level is very reminiscent of what happened last spring with a base out at $1,550. so, this is, what?, the third or fourth time we have come to this support level, so it is important to watch.
