it is true some of the things that we see going on in senior disability action. if you're a senior or person with disability in a rent controlled affordable housing and been there for a time you're walking with a giant target on your back and it's causing mental anguish of people. you see landlord it's people in the housing and you know this they pull the mickey house games, not cashing the checks, low level harassment and low down thing just to force the people out. that's what is happening. another thing is the senior and disability service provider community which does generally pretty good job but still there's a great need for more cultural awareness sensitivity toward lgbt seniors and people with disabilities especially among seniors. people get older and end up in the mainstream places where a lot of them are forced to go back and not admit they're gay. it's very, very problematic, so one thing i would mention and i don't want to take more time but a recommendation that has come up consistently with people that we met with is some kind of mandated e endors

we had a group of individuals well mayors disabilities couple and the mayors committee on disabilities. the work group will have it's first meeting on friday april 5th from 130 to 3:30 p.m. in room 421 in city hall. then the work group will meet every month. the discussion regarding the disability assess issues into the guardian discussion addressed the fast teams participation potential activation which stand tor statement of understanding and intact pursues. it was determined that 6 to 8 individuals with have a seat disabilities would be participating in the exercises. the independent resource center agreed to participate. the red cross will provide intact forms for the exercise. the fast team will be observers. statements of understanding with vendor and community based organizations will be pretty straightforward as dry runs were successful. a lesson on storms with people of disability that were impacted by the storms. it it isville vital that we continue to prepare for the disasters. we need to know our capabilities of responding to disasters ahead of time. resources are spread th

she wasn't able to come because of her disability. she said she wanted to die in or own home. with current senior housing timelines she told me she feels like she would be dead before getting a placement and she is scared of being homeless. in another case a fellow named henry terminally ill gay man with aids complications living in the sunset. he's trying to get wells fargo to delay his eviction so again he can die in his own home. the financial strain and displacement and services and medical services and support contribute to much or decline of lgbt seniors here in san francisco and elsewhere. we have to often institute a suicide watch in these cases due to the feelings that people have when they are being evicted from their homes. our goal is keep our neighbors in our homes. we work with a liances in this room and outside and we are glad that they're there to help people facing eviction. they're like the last line of defense. she said no when we can't help them we send them over to you. we use occupy style tactics. we door knock on their homes from foreclosure lists that t
