bob, the question right now, how is frank looking and feeling this morning? >> looks great, especially considering there was a moment last fall, john, when his buddies at station one questioned whether or not he was going to survive. they certainly wouldn't have expected to have seen this. there you go. frank ryan striding through the back entrance of station one this morning at 7:30 for his first shift in seven months. in good physical shape and with his doctor's approval to return to the job. in late august fighting the st. patrick's cathedral fire, ryan knew something didn't feel right, became nauseous, tried to walk it off but collapsed, went unconscious and suffered a heart attack. his heart stopping beating three or four times. it was so touch and go, there were rumors he had died. several men and women in his department honored ryan with a special breakfast to welcome back home. he made it clear he's not fond of the spotlight, can't wait for normalcy to return. he did use the event to call out colleagues who saved him, namely paramedics who performed cpr, he pulled him up front to offers of appreciation. even though ryan, paramedic himself, knows full well he can't thank them en
