station. our members moved into in station and became operational march 19th. we thank you for being here today. it could not have been done without the help of many people. i want to welcome you all to this station. it's a beautiful firehouse, a new firehouse. i was 6 years old in 1st grade on moscow street. we are delighted to be here. it's also a creative and unique collaborative effort. something we have never done before. it a partnership all the way. we want to thank and acknowledge the museum of modern art. we talked about the concept of the museum of modern art which if you have not been to, it's a wonderful place to visit. their needs and desires to expand for educational programs and for more of their collection. the property at 676 howard, we identified it was a place not seismic ready for our members. it's as fire safety it's of paramount importance. when they talked to us about the ideas, they came together and decided to change properties. it's a total win win situation. we are combraet -- grateful for the efforts of the museum of modern art. we w

out of this station. and that's something that we're continuing to discuss with mayor's budget office to bring on additional staffing for that station. we talked a little about the eoa exclusive operating area and the rights. as you stated back in 2008, the state of california made a decision to remove the eoa rights to the 911 ambulance transports here in the city. this basically threw everything into a period of uncertainty, including our budgets and how we staffed. as there were no formal guidelines or procedures for the system as a whole and no provider agreements in between the providers. ~ we found ourselves in the ems division in a bit of a holding pattern during this time, unsure of what the future held for the system. we saw our market share of transports go from about 90% down to 70% and the private increased to that amount. and again, that's one of our main -- one of two ways the department earns revenue. so, fiscally as well as operationally, it was difficult for us. so, we were very delighted

as we are a major training station for the city. the next slide is a breakdown of our calls for service for last year. the top graph shows priorities and repriorities by the day of week. you can see our busiest day of the week by far is tuesday. yesterday was a tuesday and it was busy. below, the second graph is an ab and c priority call total and you will see the busiest day for all 3 categories is tuesdays. we had a total of 11,000, over a calls and b and c priority calls last year. this slide will give you an idea of a b and a b and c priority calls by the time of day you can see on the top slide that 1:00 in the morning is our top time for priority calls and b calls in the afternoon, c calls it's 10:00 in the evening. this slide will show you a priority calls broken out through the city. as you can see the mission district was no. 2 in the city with over 11,000 calls for service. we had 15 percent of a priority calls of service within san francisco. this next slide is a breakdown of a b and c priority calls in 2012 for the city.
