are reminded when they come here to headquarters and see this makeshift memorial that is still out aerlittle bit smaller than it was before. they will be reminded again today because in two hours, the chief will update the murder investigation. yesterday, the santa cruz police department gathered for a photo and they included pictures of sergeant butch baker and detective elizabeth butler. they are wearing new pins with baker and butler's badge numbers on their uniforms. police say the two officers were shot to teeth in february by jeremy goulet who they are interviewed for a sexual assault investigation. goulet stole one of their cars and weapons and got into a shootout with police wherer was killed. we're expecting to hear the shooting was justified as well as the names of the officers involved. authorities are supposed to reveal a more specific breakdown and the time line of what led up to the deaths and the sheriff's department internal investigation. the santa cruz county sheriff will be here as well as the district attorney. at 10:00, they will speak about what their departments
