and on the technical side on this issue, rich ross is with us, and on the fundamental side, steve cortezod to see you, guys. welcome back. rich, was us through the charts. what do you think? >> bill, i underestimated this stock once. i'm not going to make the same mistake twice. when we bring up that daily chart, as you just did before, you see that the stock is a rock. it's been barreling higher, hugging that 50-day moving average, acting as key sport all the way up. now we see this well-defined trend channel taking us higher. now we're into some resistance at the high end of that trend channel, but a nice, bullish flag has formed into that high-end resistance. i think we get an acceleration to the upside out of that channel. we could test $32 in this stock. the market is viewing it in a different fashion and i'm looking at the chart in a different fashion. >> cortez is just itching to get in on this. >> i am. i can see that the stock has done incredibly well lately, but i think context and perspective is important here. if we take a longer view of yahoo! we can see that this is the lon

on the fundamental sigh, steve cortez, the founder of vera cruz.art right here. which one looks better? >> it's all pretty messy stuff, as the last person said, but lesser of evil is royal at this point. carnival cruise is really taken the brunt of the bad luck or mismanagement or a little bit of both. the comparative chart tells the story. so on a one-year basis, you can see there the tremendous outperformance, but it's really more of a case of underperformance in carnival, but it's been persisting on a five-year basis, even a ten-year basis. so neither is particularly exciting, but a little bit of luck or mismanagement and somehow royal, even with this black eye, it has less black eyes than carnival. >> steve, you touching either one? >> i agree, i do not like carnival cruise lines at all. i don't even like the name. have you ever hung around a carnival? it's not a great scene. but the stock, the main problem is ccl and margin compression. you see continual margin compression for the last decade. its margins right now, profit margins are half of

and on the fundamental side, it's chris cortez.at these strong levels? >> it's a little overextending the short-term, but i really like delta, both on a technical and fundamental basis. lack at the chart. we can see that on a six-year weekly chart, we'll see that the stock actually broke out. it took off, as you'd like to say, above the $15 level. that was resistance for several years. and the stock broke out in march. and it's really had a very strong run since then. in the short run, we can see that the stock has found support, multiple times, at the 50-day moving average this year. a pullback to $17 would be a great entry for a long-term investment in this name. i really like delta. >> okay. steven? >> enis, i have to say that i think there's too much altitude right now in delta. and the main reason i say that, it's interesting we're talking delta because of the new international terminal at jfk. that is my problem with the stock, the it's international exposure. it's great that they have a gleaming new terminal. the problem is,

on the fundamental side, steve cortez. the stock down 2.5% this year, 20% in the last few years.s a mess. earnings are down 2550%. the 80 level has a lot of authority in the daily chart. stock has been toying with the prospects of breaking below those lows. we think ultimately it does. it is one of the worst performing stocks among large super cap names. the day-to-day chart is poor despite the current day-to-day strength. then the long term chart. if you look at where it's come from, you're talking about a $20 stock that went to almost $1.20 off the margin lows. all the hallmarks of a topping out, rolling over kind of situation. we're sellers. >> all right. let's see. steve, he mentioned fundamentals somewhere in there. so you're free to cite a chart if you want. but do you like caterpillar at these levels? >> bill, i do. i think barons is on to something here. i think it is certainly cheap if you look at valuation. you're only paying about ten times earnings. more importantly in terms of valuation is not necessarily a catalyst. in terms of a catalyst what i like over the last j

on the fundamental side of the story, steve cortez with veracruz tjm. good to see you both.eve, both the ceo and the cfo are leaving. what does that tell you? what does this mean for the company? >> that tells me there's trouble. and it's getting a very nice lift today and it's had a nice few weeks. but if you were unlucky enough to have bought this stock two years ago, even with this rally today, you have still lost half of your money. webmd has been a bit of a dr. kevorkian for many portfolios. my view is it's going to continue to be. this is a company that loses money. not only is the ceo leaving, but the cfo as well. that kind of an exodus, i do not believe, is reason for owners of webmd to rejoice, but instead to use this lift, if you're an owner, as a chance to get out. >> abigail, what's the chart look like from your standpoint? >> the charts tell a different story than steve's take on the fundamentals. they say that his fears are actually in the past and that webmd buyers, strong buying moment, are looking to the future, and a push toward profitability. i think this

fundamental side of the story, steve cortez is with veracruz. carter, you like boeing here?ow do the charts look? >> sure, this stock took off, of course, no pun intended over the last two months. what's important about it if you look at the chart is that the move is very short lived. meaning a stock like this, of this size, to be dead flat for 2010, '11 and '12 to break out above the 80 level. the break out level is only two months old. we think this carries. it's not over. the objective for a breakout level like that would be the pass top. those are essentially at the 108 level. about 7%, 8% from here. we think that's a reasonable objective for anyone who retains a long position or who's not long and wants to get long. >> what about you, steve? fundamental story? >> you know, i'm skeptical here. i think if you've been lucky or smart enough to be long this stock it's time to deplane right here. not because i see anything decidedly negative about boeing. i think there are better alternativ alternatives. i think if you want to bet on the airliners, by the airlines. airline st
