and several dozen customers without power tonight after p-g and e equipment failure caused an explosion in a sanisco neighborhood! company officials say p- gand-e was replacing a transformer in a bayview neighborhood when there was an explosion. residents who saw the blast say what resembled a one fireball rose about 4 to 5 feet out of a hole a p-g- one and e employee was working out of. of the above there was a large popping noise. fanti grabbed his vice grips and there is a secondary explosion. at that time his hands were burning. and i thought that there was going to be a bigger explosion. that p-g and e employee suffered minor injuries in the blast and was hospitalized. originally nearly 27- hundred ron the explosion, but at this time less than 50 customers are without power. power isn't expected to be restored to those customers until sometime around midnight. >> two people are dead tonight after their canoe capsizes in a reservoir near los gatos. a little after one today the sheriff's office got a report that a canoe carrying four people capsized in lexington reservoir. this is video from
