so just a minute on the sfmta. and as you know we will put together to really be an integrated comprehensive transportation for the city. the voters took what used to be some pieces of muni of tax is and tackering and traffic and put it altogether under one roof and we could integrate and coordinate in a way to manage the transportation or the city. and it was what we are a unique agency in that regard and i think that there was a lot of foresight for the people and the voters of san francisco to put that together. i think that we are still going through the growing pains and really coming into our own as an agency. but i think that the direction is a good one for the city to enable us to comprehensively evaluate the transportation and manage transportation for the city. and the sfmta board of directors last year, approved a strategic plan for the next six years for the agency and i wanted to briefly outline the goals of that plan. and the first goal was safety, above,. but the second goal was implementing the mand

whereas mta includes overhead cost procured by the sfmta procures. it's not comparing apples to oranges. that's why it's so different. your point highlights that our money goes a lot farther in installing racks at s fm t a. >> i'm concerned with the fact that the city is ki on the responsibility of managing bike sharing program and whether or not the capacity exist to not only manage but maintain for this program to be more self sufficient. i know that for example just recently we worked with parks and recreation to introduce a bike sharing program that will exist specifically for the parks. my desire is to see folks pick up bikes from one location, drop them off at another and to have the ability to do that is amazing. i don't think i can support the city doing that and taking on ownership of that responsibility and spending money to do that when we are still quite far behind in our bicycle improvements and the kinds of things we need to do in order to increase safety for the existing bike population. i think that we are moving a little fast on this

i'm sorry about the gripping by in my view sfmta has lost of the privilege of managing park parking in san francisco. they're creating cash to pay for bus service and bicycle plans because state funding has dried-up. if i have my way that parking enforcement needs to go back to the way it was. first off cars have no voice in this at all. i'm a homeowner i live out you know where there's much less bus service. the bus service is decent if you need to get downtown but if i take my autistic son it's impossible. it takes my wife an hour and 3 buses to get over there. i don't have a way to bike my autistic son to where he needs to go. there needs to be a change in the way the board gets appointed. we could go oh, of the skyrocketing gouging and the metered rates and the enforcement days sunday and all of westport california got blanketed. i've talked to the rank and file supervisors on the street and they hate sfmta they want it back the way it was before >> thank you very much. next speaker please. i'll call more names.
