ktvu's jana katsuyama got a picture from the surveillance video and tells us how a good samaritan might have saved the building. >> reporter: i just got the video from the man who ins this -- who owns this restaurant. it is the second restaurant that opened in 2011. that is where they think the fire started. the flames were so hot it started burning the side of the building. the picture from the surveillance video you can see it here. it shows two men walking to the dumpster and setting it on fire. that video has been turned over to police. this happened at 1:30 a.m. saturday morning. it burned through two doors and melted the electric meters that pg&e just replaced this morning. two restaurants all lost power. they had to shut down saturday and sunday. today they brought in big coolers with food but the rest of the food had to be thrown away because they had no power. that is hundreds of pounds of food lost. along with thousands of dollars in lost business. they hope police catch the two and they want to thank the good samaritan who moved the burning dumpster away from the building. >>
