, "for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." this is saying that you have to believe this in your heart and speak it with your mouth. it's not one or the other. it's not just you repeating a prayer and if you will say these words they're magic and instantly you receive relationship with god. no, you have to say it, but then you have to also believe it with your heart. it's a combination of the two. see, if you don't believe with your heart the things that you're saying with your mouth then it loses its power. but when you say it with your mouth and believe in your heart is when the power is released. so back to verse 9... you have to make jesus your lord. you have to confess with your mouth that jesus is your lord. you are yielding to him and trusting his righteousness. not yours. you have to believe with your heart that god raised him from the dead and that implies many things but one of those things is that he wasn't just human. this was god manifest in the flesh as it says in 1 timothy, chapter 3, verse 16, great is the mys

this is the gospel and it is the power of god unto salvation, and sad to say, this is not the same gospel that is being preached in much of the church. not all of it, but there is a large segment of the body of christ that has just fallen into legalism and thinking that they have to perform to earn god's favor and blessing and that is completely contrary to what paul was teaching in the book of romans. so we're drawing to a close. again, i want to encourage you to please get this material because even though you've watched these television broadcasts... i know many of you don't watch every single day. even if you do watch every single day, having it broken up in 30 minute segments isn't the same as just sitting down and soaking in this and getting your mind renewed. this is so contrary to what is being taught in the vast majority of the church today that we need to sit and soak and get our brains washed. amen. a good friend of mine, dave hinton, sings this song about i've been brainwashed and he says, my brain needed washing real bad. we need our brain washed. we need to be changed from t

what is the gospel that paul preached that released in power of god unto salvation? the next verse says, "for in this gospel, in it, the righteousness of god is revealed," which is a gift. amen? but today's gospel, when i hear some people preach the gospel, man's sin is revealed all the time. now, there is a place to talk about man's sin, but it's not the revelation of the gospel, the revelation of the gospel in that gospel, the gift of righteousness is revealed from faith to faith. amen? i mean, you don't tell people how bad they are, they know how bad they are. their wives tell them all the time. amen? what they need to know is that there is a gift available that can make them righteous in spite of their performance and if the gift is received, it will affect their performance even. amen? praise god. you know, people have wrong ideas about god and even preachers. so i'm letting go right now. i'm going all the way, okay, church? all right, i'm telling you right now the problem is that-- you know i love preachers. i'm a preacher myself but, i'm here to tell you that

"lowly, (reading on) riding upon a donkey, upon a colt (or the foal of a donkey)". as lowly as you can get. did it happen? of course it did! that was the day of his triumphal entry. and it was more or less the end of his first advent. all right, now read on into verse 10. now we jump into the next event, which would be the tribulation, "i will cut off the chariot from ephraim and the horse from jerusalem and the battle bow shall be cut off." see that speaks of war and killing, that's the tribulation, see? and then the rest of the verse, what's next? "he will speak peace to the heathen." you see what i'm talking about? so clearly zechariah prophesies concerning his first advent but he ties it right to the trib

unto. the purpose of the law was to shut your mouth... to make you guilty... make you stand condemned before god, so that you would recognize that it's impossible for you to ever obtain salvation based on your own and it would drive you to your knees to cry out to god for mercy and the moment you cry out for mercy and put your faith in jesus who died for your sins then you're accepted and you get a faith righteousness not based on performance. this is what this is saying. christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth, and then he begins to start quoting from moses. i believe that this is from leviticus, chapter 18, verse 5 and moses it says described the righteousness which is of the law, that the man which doeth those things shall live by them. in other words, if you want to start trying to earn right standing with god it's an all or nothing thing. you can't just do the best you can and say well god, i did the best i can. will you accept me? you either have to make 100 on this test, or if you make 99.9, you failed. you...you missed. you go to hell. i've used this verse many times... james 2:10. if you keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point
