supervisor avalos. yes, thank you for your prevention. there was a lawsuit that was done by s and s trucking to the city and i believe it was based on it has been resolved because we got the contract and i heard the concerns about s and s not paying prevailing wage and their truckers are dependent contractors. i'm wondering what assures we have that this company is meeting the standards we have as a city. so we have s and s truck but we have ron to talk specifically about this line >> supervisor ron from the city attorney's office. the first one was about a lawsuit there wasn't a lawsuit at first, it came to the board to be approved and that does not get approved and a s and s sued and under the charter provision 918 b this cowered had no authority. this extension would put it it above the authority so the lawsuit is an old matter. as for praefl wages at the time the contract was under 21 c 5 for hall and a sludge and it required that the employees be paid praefl wages. the law changed that any individual who hauled be - it not be applied

>> thank you, president chiu, i wanted to thank supervisor avalos for working with the mta. i know when it first came to the budget committee, there wasn't that much detail in it, so i think the reduction from 10 thousand to 5 thousand of these new meters is important and designating where they're going to go is really important. i think public space though is a rare and valuable commodity in our city and how we allocate it is important and that discussion came up in the budget department as well, i think the mta has committed through this process to a much stronger engagement in community process whenever they consider parking meters and other parking management tools, so i'm really grateful for mr. ris k*en and the mta for working with our offices as well, when it first dame to the budget committee, i urged the mta to develop a significant base lao*in for outreach for communities in neighborhoods that are impacted and sometimes the meters are the right answer, and other times they are not. as around usf, university of san francisco, we found out sometime last year, the siz

>> thank you, chair avalos, for those remarks. i just wanted to give perhaps a slightly different perspective on the transportation task force, which i along with chair avalos and commissioner chiu have had the honor of serving on for the last year. and when the task force started, a lot of us were really pleased because when mayor lee convened it, and we have seen other convening in the past, and the tax reform or the affordable housing trust fund, where we have been able to really address some vexing problems in our city and the continued deteration of muni primarily the infrastructure and the state of good repair of the system are truly a problem for the city. and in every part of the city, we are seeing challenges, around the liability and around the capacity of the system. and so, having this task force with these recommendations i think is a really positive thing. and this task force the process has been highly transparent. and includes a lot of different perspectives at the table. members of the public who are not part of t

on it's full board meeting supervisor avalos was approved on first reading. to replace the parking with maximum controls prohibit uses as well as to start to put in place a buffer between medical dispenses. and the most controversial was the controlled. this commission had a recommendation that the commission recommended a c u instead of prohibiting them out right. the supervisor did in his ordinance and it was approved on first reading. also supervisor avalos report to have to the board of supervisors for the medical canneries. this ordinance will require the report to be given to the board and although this ordinance is not law we've known about avalos requests and it's on the december 5th calendar. this week supervisor campos said this needs more time for outreach and it was amended to the deadline of may 1st. this commission could submit a report earlier. we have the outreach strategy and quid input for more information. this is additional unfunded work and we'll appreciate our support. there were a couple of appeals the first was for 1050 valencia with a

supervisor avalos? >> thank you, it's my pleasure to call upon a very special individual who is in the audience collean small also known as queen koug ur. you can please come up to the podium. i am delighted and honored to present this commendation today to an exemplary woman who has understanding of diverse sexuality and life styles who has spent many years raising money for numerous organizations in the lgbt community. she's known as queen cougar. born in the bronx. soon after she moved to san francisco, she became clean and sober and as part of that life change, she decided to come open and honest about herself. it is this honesty that has prepared her for this community and she is an active and valued community leader in this city. she's a public speaker and singer. someone of many talents. she's probably the most experienced and most well traveled member of the san francisco community. she has twice mc's the international mr. leather competition in chicago and sang at events throughout the country.
