northern and central illinois, but again, the storm not done yet. we're going to continue to monitor it throughout the evening hours into the overnight. so parts of ohio, into west virginia, kentucky, tennessee, western carolinas, over the next several hours you need to be monitoring this as well as parts of michigan in towards the northeast. eventually the storm is going to move in towards the northeast overnight tonight. your tornado threat, the highest risk again over portions of illinois, western illinois, or rather eastern illinois in towards indiana and michigan. that's the highest risk where the ingredients come together for long-tracked potentially life-threatening weather. and then we've got the elevated risk in the area shaded in red. however, that orange area, you're still not out of the woods. you want to certainly keep an eye on the sky and listen to your local weather forecasters. wind advisories really stretching for over a dozen states here where we could have straight-line damaging winds, not only the threat for tornadoes, but wind damage, hail and heavy rainfall. a perfect setup, unfortunately, for tornados across the midwest. and that's going to continue through
