lake effect snow across northern ohio into pennsylvania.one of this is going to make its way to our area. high-pressure overhead moves out towards the east. a change in wind direction tomorrow. clouds will start to increase. this is part of a larger, more complex storm system that will arrive on tuesday. national weather service has posted a winter storm watch for western pennsylvania and eastern ohio. this is for tuesday into wednesday. higher elevations could see upwards of 6-8 inches of snow. for us, this is what our futurecast looks like. clouds will start to increase tomorrow afternoon. temperatures in the mid to upper 30's around 40. mostly cloudy skies for tomorrow night. by rush-hour, tuesday morning, no sin -- notice the rain and snow mix across loudoun county changing over to all rain as we move through the middle of the day. that rain will become heavy as you move through the evening hours of tuesday into tuesday night. upwards of 1-2 inches not unlikely. we could see a little bit of snow mixing in off to the north and west. it a

all of its investors were ohio people so the governor of ohio had to protect this investment. so they made sure that their northern boundary included toledo. after two surveys were taken, one by michigan and won by ohio, the one by michigan determined that toledo was in michigan. the one by ohio determined it was in ohio. thing settle down and michigan people moved into that strip of contested land organized into townships, collected taxes. but then in 1835 things all came to a head when governor lucas said i'm going to protect that land, and governor mason said, i'm going to protect that land. and they organize their two states -- ohio militia and the territorial militia, and actually into a shooting war over 470 square miles of basically swamp and farmland that michigan claimed legally it owned. the war then proceeded in a series of skirmishes throughout 1835. nobody was killed, so if you're going of a war this is the kind of work you want. it ended up being brokered by congress in 1836 whereby they said, congress said that michigan, if you give up your claim to the toledo strip, as compensation we will give you

this will stay in the northern plains through the great lakes. through chicago and ohio. wind will pick up, so we'll talk about lake affect snow there. sunday it affects the midlandic and new england states. once this front moves through you'll know it. temperatures may be mild beforehand like the 50s now, but the frontal will move through, and the temperatures could drop 30 degrees. the wind chills will make it feel like it's down below zero. that's what we're watching here. and next week with this cold air in place the storm develops off the coast, that brings the potential of rain, snow and wind. in the five-day forecast in chicago. here is the drop, 29 to 13. the wind picks up, bitter cold wind chills monday and tuesday into the 40s. so it warms up quickly. the potential for the nor'easter is not this thursday. it could be sunday with light snow showers and bitter cold air moves in. monday and tuesday are quiet, but wednesday, there's the rain in the forecast. with a temperature of 40. this could impact travel on wednesday and cold and windy for thursday. here a look

northern arizona has seen snow and sleet. some areas getting more than 15 inches of snow. temperatures just plummeted in the midwest. the snow is falling as the ohio state buckeyes remained unbeaten after rolling over indiana. then at notre dame stadium, it was the coldest game in almost 22 years, but lots of fans still out there bundling up in that 26-degree weather to watch the fighting irish beat byu. the roads were so bad in texas, a tour bus carrying band members of willie nelson crashed. nelson was not on board. the country music singer is now postponing his tour. there were three injuries, though none life threatening. we have nbc meteorologist dylan dreier tracking the weather for us. we're going to start with janelle klein in fwort, texas. what's it like where you are? >> reporter: pretty good still, in dallas, ft. worth. but this storm is moving from the west. we're already seeing a lot of crashes in west texas and new mexico and of course you mentioned that crash of willie nelson's tour bus. we're seeing road conditions getting worse as we watch here in dallas-ft. worth. we do expect that this storm will get worse before it gets better.
