as we move forward i would like, and we would have it and i would like to have it and i would like to know how many times are arrested in schools, and if any of those arrests are for things that don't happen in schools. and because basically our idea that there should not be any arrests in schools, for something that happens outside of the schools. unless i would like us to pay attention to this and about whether how that standard is working and what the results are by telling us. and the things that happened outside of school. one of our we have had to do it and we have the police department, about if the purchase and it is part of the police department's community policing strategies and it is supposed to be about establishing it. and changing some of the perceptions of the police out in the community, and perceptions of the community, it seems to not look at schools as a place where we can get kids and they may want to arrest for some reason. and so i just wanted to say that and hope that we can get some reporting on that. thanks for the work. i know this was a huge amount of work.

i would like to comment because i will suggest that we take dr. let me explain why. i believe that the expansion is large and -- the building is not unreasonable and i agree with the design review since this project is code compliant. it does not do anything exceptional or extraordinary. when i looked at the drawing no. 310, together with the alternative set of roof plans which the applicant has provided, i would like to make the following comment. on the proposed drawing, 3.10, i believe the 3-12 is too flat a pitch. i believe the alternative drawing alternative 3.1 is too steep a pitch. that is a 12 x 12-pitch and excessive and alien to its neighbors. what i would like to suggest is we consider a pitch of 6 x 12 which makes it steeper and brings it to a slightly more slender building expression particular with the caveat that we would hold a roof overhang and trim at a consistent line. we get a slightly steeper pitch which is a 6 x 12 and i do believe it will be a better looking building. that would be my first suggestion. it's very easy to draw a 6 x 12-pitch. i w

i would like to get to public comment and i don't think any of us expected that this discussion would take so long. but let me say a couple things. first of all, yesterday at land use we had a lengthy discussion about this and as supervisor avalos knows, and i think others were not prepared to support this legislation without the amendments that have been made today. but given that these amendments have been made, i do feel much more comfortable in moving forward, particularly having addressed the data issue, the omi issue and the ellis issue. that being said, i do very much have sympathy for our colleagues that were not on land use. and let me suggest the following perspective and i discussed this briefly with supervisor avalos yesterday. supervisor avalos has spent months trying to get this through the process. it's been a lot of work. and i think we all recognize the issue and interest in getting this done before the holidays. that being said, this is a very complicated piece of legislation and it has taken the three of us on land use some time to wrap our brains around this so i c
