a political consultant who worked with a lot of republicans including george pat tacky -- pataki. and governor chris christie. how does this affect anyone outside of new jersey. >> not practically. the fact is that christie is a possible candidate for president in 2016. the way the governor handled the press conference was very wise and brilliant. he did it also the governor of new jersey. he offered an unqualified apology for the misdoings of his staff to the people of-under new jersey. he went to fort lee, apologized the mayor, and the mayor -- something that needs to be noted -- said the governor or his people never solicited his endorsement. that's the whole premise that people were alleging he was being paid back for. >> let's talk about the one thousand pages our crew is going through right now and the meaning of those. as we sat down earlier you said this guess news, why? >> if you trust the governor that he had nothing to do with the ordering this suitly re -- absolutely redick loss event -- ridiculous event. the more mott comes out that vic vindicates him the better. so i

here in our studio is tom daugherty, a political strategist, and political contribute to governor pataki. we do have the debt ceiling coming around on february 7th, that's the date we're looking towards, very close tot gop primaries that expect in march. do you expect any drama? >> yes. because paul ryan, the chairman of the budget committee in house, said we can't get nothing for raising the debt limit. well excuse me, what you're not getting is putting the full faith and credit of the united states at risk and you're averting a world financial crisis. that's your civic obligation as a legislator. that's the way to drive a cries i and we could see another one, if he intends to carry out that threat. >> well, let's look at exactly what congressman ryan had to say about the debt limit a couple of weeks ago. >> we're going odecide what it is we can accomplish out of this debt limit fight. >> tom with him threatening another battle over the debt ceiling as bill said, what do republicans help to accomplishment? >> that crisis does not work very well for them. their numbers have steadily gone

you are better off being middle of the road moderate guy more like pataki. >> this is a politician trying set himself up nationally and trying to reach out to moderate republicans. tone deaf on the level of one is barack obama and famous liberal moment of saying deriding those people who cling to their god, guns, and religion. but there is another historical president which was ed koch, mayor ed koch back in 1982 said he said oh those upstate suburbanites who drive their trucks to sears and roebuck to buy their suits. remarkably it was marrow cuomo who came back with an ad that said i love new york. all of new york. this was not a good moment for this governor right now in terms of his own state in upstate new york. >> you mentioned he is thinking of maybe running. check to see what seacketd clinton is going to do. a position that governor martin o'malley. also sitting there watching. this may be something that helps governor o'malley if his main rival is srst stepping on it? >> wide to the left on a variety of issues. social issues. making a very hard push for gay marriage after governor

and starting back under governor pataki and governor whitman, it began to be filled with political --oliticians who were only interested in partisan interests or cash flow into the states. and the port authority has lost its public mission, lost its nonpartisanship, and it is just sitting ready to be abused in this partisan political way. >> you've suggested that governor christie has a streak of bullying. the governor denies he's a bully. he said that at his news conference last thursday. why do you think he's a bully? >> yeah, i mean, you and i remember richard nixon. i am not a crook. you know? any time a politician gets up and says "i am not a bully," or "it's not about the money," it is. and so you know, there are so many instances. we have seen it. we have seen it in town hall meetings where the governor goes after a citizen. we have seen it where he takes on teachers in the most disrespectful, bullying way. and i've seen it with mayors and public officials who have said to me, look, i've got to play along here. or i'm just not going to get anything for my town. and i call that
