[applause] >> those of us who live in this town, we live around a lot of rich people, working media, there is a proliferation of the most powerful women conferences out there, but it's very rare that you get people who just see a different side of life. these are powerful women that we just saw. very powerful women. so congratulations to all of these people dealing with some very tough circumstances. we have rosa delauro here was just a wonderful force in congress. 12 term congressman. she been working with nancy pelosi on a fantastic women's agenda. we have carol gilliland, professor at duke university for 30 years taught at harvard was the first gender studies professor at harvard, and i'm huge fan of barbara ehrenreich, wrote recently for the atlantic in the january issue of the a
