ali. i think you're right. we as citizens should demand that folks don't live in extreme poverty in the u.s. but the fact is we need to pony up. if we think there are people because their productivity is low enough or maybe they have a co-ersive employer, they're in poverty, we need to provide them with benefits that lift them up out of poverty, and we need to pay the check. we need to pay the taxes that pay the money to the people and be straight up about the costs. the minimum wage is a dodge. so what they're doing is they're asserting that they're producing social justice but they're trying to do it on someone else's dime. they're telling exactly the people, the employers who are trying to create jobs that you have to bear the cost for the social justice that you want. if you and i want to provide social justice by lifting people out of poverty, we should cut them a check. we shouldn't say you, job creator, you shouldn't pay for all the poverty reduction. that's what it does. >> household debt which includes
