also on new this morning. cue two people trapped in a car hanging over a coastal cliff in san mateo county. this happened saturday near pescadero beach. the car was about 50 feet down the cliff resting on a beach close to shore. crews assembled a rope rescue system. they raised one person who had moderate injuries and carried the second person who had minor injuries up the cliff. fire officials remind motorists to be careful when driving near coastal cliffs, especially at night or in the rain. state senator mark leno has introduced legislation. that would help stabilize funding for city college of san francisco the school continues its fight to stay accredited. the bill would give reliable funding for the next four- years to the school. c-c-s-f had its accreditation revoked last july. for problems with its finances and governing structure. the bill would give the school its normal funding for the next school year. c-c-s-f stands to lose up to 26 -million dollars next year, if the legislation does not pass. a ca

are you surprised at all by this new wave of violence? >> reporter: i think absolutely. there is a degree of surprise about how much force, how much violence has been used in the last 24 hours. this is the deadliest day of protests in the ukraine so far. at least 25 people dead that we know of. that's on both sides. police, security forces, as well as the protesters. i think things were calmer in the period since we were there last, but certainly things have sparked up over the last day. the protesters say they want a future attached to europe and the west, the values and economy that come along with that. their president wants closer ties with vladimir putin, and they are at loggerheads over this key issue, and, of course, this is all happening on putin's doorstep in the midst of the olympic games. he has an uprising essentially on his hands in the backyard. >> yeah, absolutely. the eyes of the world on this region now with the olympics there. is there any kind of quick end in sight to this? do you think this is going to be a big protracted battle? >> reporter: unlikely
