the 2014 program is with our partners at the sfmta and the other agencies throughout the region. this year, the program is similar in some regards to prior programs for preventing revenues for transportation and seeking new revenues and maximuming new controls and have the gas reduction goals. the biggest opportunity as you mark it is looking good for transportation and it has shifted to the cap and trade revenues the governor has contributed the stockpile for the cap and trade and a good portion is going to transportation, however, the governor's proposal puts that money in the hands of state agencies and sfmta set a number of priorities for the cap and trade for the region for key san francisco like the bart and transit vehicles so far as significant increase in the obeying that's the transportation that we administer and all of those don't matter if the funds don't work in the region we'll be working to get the funding shifted to the region and a number of constitutional academies to 50 percent and we'll take support positions on several of those items >> a quick question what

i have been in hearing of the sfmta where the directors themselves have asked, why is there not more women, i can tell you out of the 1500 that we represent in the industry there are just a handful of women who have been hired and these are just good paying jobs and we don't have any control of the union over the hiring and the hiring is completely controlled and a union location or other by the employers, and in fact the employers have insisted over the years even in bargaining when i brought it up along with the other business agents they have insisted on controlling and holding all aspects of the hiring and these workers are hired and then after that they become the members of the union, we want diversity and we want really to be able to go into a garage, and say that there are people from every background and that is not the case often and there is a term that i use and some of the employees out there and they screen for ethnicity and you go in a garage and you find that everyone is one of an ethnic group and one age bracket and all men and so on, considering the unemployment tha

morning, supervisor mar and yee, and i am jerry robins with the sustainable streets division with the sfmta i have a five-minute powerpoint with an overview of the tour bus regulation issues that we deal with. thank you. >> tour buses do have complaints about the parking and the traffic conflicts as shown in these photographs. and wide turns that can cause concerns, and some of the buses use amplified loud speakers and the buses often have loud engine noise on hills. and emissions are also an issue. and loud buses on the city streets, tourism is the number one industry and the buses are a more ifish ent way to move people than if they drove in cars or rented cars and the bus pros vied a popular service. sfmta has tried to mediate and tried to seek, win-win situation, the tools that we have available for us is that we are able to restrict the tour buses with eight or more streets completely and we can either invoke that or not invoke it and there is not little ground and we say say that five buses are permitted but beyond that no buses are allow and it is kind of an all or nothing regulation

for the last two years we've been acquiring grants through sfmta and got $550,000 grant. the total budget of this project is seven hundred and 50 thousand for fiscal year 2014 with a $200,000 request through it is my duty district attorney. we're working on the policy of the financial analysis of the pricing program. in addition we'll be initiating the system management phase focusing on the structural engineering of the compliment of the programs. this year's budget will establish the tide district attorney staff and accomplishing the agency as we expect to receive the funds in the coming months. 20 percent of the budget will going or go to the staff and the rest to the consultants to assist with the implementation. the tide district attorney board approved this item and cc confirmed this with a motion of support. we have $73,000 for this item in the current transportation thoortsz budget and will be amending this if it's approved through this committee. if you have any questions i have the title representative here >> looks like with an early start people don't have ques
