christien kafton is live on the scene with the very latest. what can you tell us christien. >> reporter: this gentleman just tried to enter the crime scene a moment ago and was stopped by the police. so clearly police taking the situation very, very seriously. let's give you a look at the intersection here of turk and taylor. this entire intersection shut downright now. a lot of the focus seems to be in front of the king market there. here again at the intersection of turk and taylor. what we are hearing at this point from san francisco police is we have six victims. we're hearing three victims have been transported to san francisco general hospital. they are expected to survive. we're hearing some indications this may have been a drive by style shooting. at this point there's no official description of the shooter or the vehicle that may have been involved in this shooting investigation. right now the intersection of turk and taylor as you can see completely shutdown for this investigation and shut down for one block in each direction. at this

christien kafton is in the middle of some of those large downpours this morning.uch of a downpour right now. we're seeing a nice, steady rain here at the farmers market, near the ferry building in san francisco, right on the embarcadero. folks still coming out this morning, not a whole lot of people like you would expect to see on a saturday morning. the rain certainly keeping some people away. but the rain also definitely a welcome sight for a lot of the farmers here that produce the groceries and the produce that we see out here. this is part of a band of storms that moved in earlier this week. storms rolled in on tuesday and it really opened the door for these series of storms, today, tomorrow, as rosemary has been explaining, expected to deliver some pretty sizable rain totals. it's definitely a welcome sight for farmers who say they want to see the rain. they tell me they don't want to see too much too fast. >> the rain's not going to be too heavy, which can cause damage, especially at this point. if you've got fruit trees, you don't want rain that's really,

ktvu's christien kafton is live this morning in berkeley with the demonstration set for this morning.oods in berkeley, waiting for the protest to begin. it's not just this whole foods in berkeley and the one in oakland. it's at whole foods shops across the whole country. a coalition of women's groups and labor groups are organizing the protest, angry over the firing of a whole foods worker in chicago. protesters say she was terminated after she missed work to take care of her special needs son after the schools there closed because of the bitter winter weather they have been dealing with in the midwest. i talked to an organizer early this morning. she tells me the protests will not be pickets, but a leaflet and flyer campaign to raise customer awareness about the issue. we had a chance to speak with whole foods. whole foods says it cannot discuss personnel issues, but did say they have clear policies outlining attendance and absence and say that no employee would be terminated for a single absence and that there would be a dialogue. the employee involved would receive a lot of notific
