ktvu's patty lee joins us live from the oakland neighborhood, where residents are stunned that anyone would put a weight on a gas pedal and send the vehicle barreling down a neighborhood street. very weird, patty. >> very weird, exactly, ken, and very dangerous. you take one look at the damage and it's clear this chevy tahoe came barreling down the street, totalling this garage and several cars in the process. now, this happened around 1:30 this morning. the delaney family was sleeping in the rooms behind the garage. some thought there had been an earthquake until they smelled gas and heard an engine running. they tried to check on a driver, but didn't see one. at that point, they fled the house. only after police and fire arrived did the delaneys learn they weren't the only victims on the street. >> pretty clear that someone had purposely, you know, put the fuel on this thing and sent it down the hill. it was -- it's really scary. this is weird, very weird crime. >> reporter: in addition to the garage, multiple yards and a street sign, four cars were damaged, three totaled, and tonig
