iran. since there is no much agreement on that question it isn't interesting. the more interesting question and i think from a foreign policy perspective is what happens if diplomacy fails? if diplomacy fails to stop iran from nuclear weapons, are we prepared to live with the issues that could come? if not, are we prepared to stop them? the argument i have been making is we should try to solve it through diplomacy but if that fails we should conduct a limited strike on iran's key nuclear facilities. to name the book, the argument is if diplomacy fails, there will come a time to attack. the second thing the book is not is controversial. or at least in my view this argument isn't controversial rather it states how to deal with the challenge. obama has said a nuclear iran is not acceptable and the united states will do whatever it takes, including military action, to stop the use. so i don't believe the argument is controversial. there was a point when it was. in 2010 i worked as an advisor on
