>> yes, i do, senator markey.clear that many of these images are quite glamorous and quite attractive, and they really are taking a lesson from the 1950s playbook of the tobacco companies, and that is a senate concern, as we've all heard. i just want to make a point that when kids, when young people see these ads or see people who are using electronic cigarettes or vaping devices, it's very indistinguishable for a young person to make the distinction between what is someone who's smoking versus someone who's vaping. my own kids who are 13 and 11 years old, i've shown them pictures and videos of vaping, and i'll say what are they doing? they'll say, they're smoking a cigarette. of it's very difficult for kids in particular to understand that there's a difference. so we really are seeing, i fear, a renormalization of that kind of image and behavior. and it's glamorous, it's successes city, they've got very cute models who are vaping, and our kids don't recognize the difference. so it really is significant cause for

and we urge the epa to acknowledge these realities just as the waxman markey bill did and as the state of california. it is for this reason that we request the epa perform a carbon leakage and officers to assess the carbon impact on the industry's. any carbon leakage costs could be subtracted from the epa benefit calculations. because the proposed rule regulates greenhouse gas emissions outside of the fence it sets up again and possible precedent for the future regulations of greenhouse gases are the manufacturing sector. the rules president would require them to produce greenhouse gas amounts that are above what we could reduce through manufacturing technology, equipment and practices and be required to accept responsibility to achieve higher greenhouse gas reductions by reducing emissions outside of our line. our customers are all over the world and not just in the u.s. and this regulation imposes the cost that the global competitors would not have. thank you for considering. >> thank you very much for your testimony. >> the next speaker is -- next is reverend codes ann also sarah. >

everybody always talks about whether roller coasters are safe and they do point out, i think about ed markey a regulation that he didn't love but he said a baby stroller is subject to tougher federal regulations than a roller coaster. is there enough oversight and regulations or roller coasters that are traveling at such high speeds and flipping and going upside down? >> you know, certainly i will say there is. you know, we have the strongest economic incentive to make sure that our park's as safe as possible. the same thing is true for the industry. and if you chub the industry's record it's really good. the number one priority is to make sure our parks are safe. we have a good record of that. >> when you say there's enough regulation. my understand is federal regulation of roller coaster safety ended back in 1981. is there any? >> no, no, we have oversight in every state we operate in. so i think that is a gross overstatement. and we have very good working -- >> so it's a state basis? it's not on a federal basis? >> it's on a state basis. and quite honestly, it works effectively. and we're
