i'm raj mathai. >> and i'm jessica aguirre. we begin with new details on a grizzly homicide case. a san jose woman has been identified as the victim. as we first reported last thursday, a burned body was found down an embankment near morgan hill. tonight there's a name to go with that body. robert honda joins us live. what do we know about the victim? >> reporter: the sheriff's department is pretty up front about saying one big reason they're releasing the name of the victim is to find whoever is responsible for the death. family and friends of julie theresa calocci want the public to see happier images of the victim. they posted photos to raise money for funeral services. her body was dumbed around 8:00 in the morning august 28 and her body burned in an attempt to destroy evidence. >> we're really looking at this as a homicide, treating it as a homicide. that's why it's important for us to make as much contact with people that may have had contact with her the last 24 hours to really put together the pieces. >> reporter: the sheriff's department has not revealed the cause of deat

i'm raj mathai. >> i'm jessica aguirre. a new phone scheme, a pay by phone ticket scam that sounds legit but the cop calling is a fake hoping to fleece you out of your cash. one woman targeted tells us the caller gave specific details that almost made her fall for it. michelle roberts is live in morgan hill. that detail is that very intersection where the traffic violation supposedly happened. >> reporter: if you live in morgan hill, you're likely going to be spending some time on main street here. that's what they were trying to do to lure the trust of homeowners when they called. one man pretended to be a cop. he said he saw some woman rolling through the red light. a couple of issues, there aren't any traffic cameras here in morgan hill and he wasn't a cop. main and monterey is a with intersection if morgan hill, a spot that laura bell drives by often. so when she got a phone call saturday from a morgan hill police lieutenant about a traffic violation there? >> you automatically go into, what could i have done? trying to

. >> i'm janelle wang sitting in for raj mathai. unusual weather across the bay area, everything from hail, lightning, even some flooding. chief meteorologist jeff ranieri is tracking this thunderstorm activity. >> very dangerous weather in the north bay, primarily in napa county where a severe thunderstorm warning has just been extended into the 6:00 hour. if you are in napa county, you do want to watch out for what has been multiple lightning strikes, hail, also flooding. you can see the doppler radar back here behind me on the west side of downtown napa. that's where the worst of it is now. that's where those lightning strikes are being detected by did our computer and heavy rainfall. the other thing that you're looking at right here is actually a computer picking up on the hail that could be embedded within this thunderstorm. that different color right there, it's a variation of how thick or how large that hail is. and you can see it's unreal right now. our computer is picking up on what could potentially be .5 to 1 inch in diam
