i want to bring in the panel, mike murphy, andrea mitchell.rea what we heard today so far, do you think we're in a position where it looks like government, particularly the obama administration is reacting with the urgency that a lot of people thought were missing? >> not clear. it's not clear to me yet that hospitals all around the country are getting the message, that they have to do drills. have they done the drills? do they have the gear? is it stocked? will another emergency in a local hospital make the same mistakes that texas made when mr. duncan first came in? that's where a lot of the exposure came. then most alarmingly, the fact that the nurses went by their own account of the records from the hospital, that nurse pham apparently, unless the records are incorrect, went in and out without the proper gear given to her. >> we were talking about budget cuts and the ability to find a vaccine. the bottom line is that the nih still has billions of dollars a year that it spends on finding a vaccine. to what extent do you think the government

our chris murphy joins us with the story. >> mike and alex, they are calling this little guy miraclehree month-old puppy max may seem like any other dog. he is happy, wagging his tail as you can see bye he has a rough story. the just a few days ago he was close to death. the team at home at last dog rescue saved max from a high kill shelter on sunday night, where he was dropped off, with severe bite wound to his head and neck. they rush the puppy to a norristown vet hospital for surgery. veterinarians suspect that max was used as a so-called bait dog for dog fighting. veterinarians said he had one major bite if not two in the same area by a big dog with a lot of jaw power. so christie catuli the is now fostering max until he is well enough to be adopted full-time and that could take months and multiple surgery. the christie brings max to the vet every day to have his bandage change so his wound can heel properly. both christie and max's doctor says he is a happy dog with the great personality despite having gone through a horrible ordeal. they say am feyly will be lucky to have this
