san francisco. no major delay at the bay bridge toll plaza. san mateo bridge has a high wind advisory. the drive time is 13 minutes between hayward and foster city. so overall, like i said, things are looking okay but really watch out for the high winds. no major delays right now through the livermore valley. we do have a high wind advisory again a chp-issued high wind advisory for the altamont pass and the rain is coming down the heaviest all along 101. roberta just showed you her hi- def doppler. from you in marin county that's where it's really coming down. we haven't heard any major flooding yet on 101 and it looks like just some light traffic right now across the golden gate bridge. but please still use mass transit if you can. we of course want you to be safe on the roads so we have some safe driving tips for you. be careful on the roads where the floodwaters have receded a bit. roads could be actually weakened by the rain. and if a power line happens to fall on your car, stay inside, wait for a trained professional to help you. also, open your window just a little bit if you're caught in traffic. it will help avoid any potential carbon monoxide poisoning.

if you you live in hayward palo alto, south san francisco, downtown san francisco, likely see this zone of heavy rain maybe continue for another two hours or so. down to the south, we begin to see the rainfall pick up on a very steady clip in san jose. heavier pockets over the last 30 to 40 minutes. some of the heavier rain in palo alto will reignite things across san jose. likely by 6:30, to 6:38. kernel vated. we haven't forgot about you in this area. you're on the last end of this storm system. so you likely have another six to seven hours of wet weather. right now, rainfall rates of .45 of an inch per hour. a flash flood watch remains in effect through most of the bay area tonight. do expect water on the roadways as we've been hearing in the traffic reports and possibly standing water. we can't reiterate this enough. if you approach standing water, turn around. you don't want to drive the car through it. the futurecast shows the rainfall continuing until 11:30 and eventually, by 4:00 a.m., we'll start to see clearing across the area. we'll have more in a few minutes. >>> meanwhile,
