>> ukee and diana good morning. i'm able to speak to a fire department official that tells me the good news is this morning pgw crews have been working hard and quickly and have this fixed at this pointch the gas leak is fixed on scene and just as soon as levels inside the apartment come down folks will be loued inside. in the meantime we're told by fire officials south philly high school will be opened up as a warming center for those in need and red cross will be on the scene as well. fire officials came by to let the folks back in here. we'll have to see what is going on but i see a couple people going back into their homes. this call came in 2:30 this morning called in by a passerby that smelled gas in the area and around 2:40, 6 apartments were evacuated as a precaution of course because gas was smelled in the area. that's 17 people evacuated on a cold morning. fortunately there were no injuries. two medic units are on scene here to assess anyone who wanted to get assessed after leaving their homes again pgw wo
