after a heavy rainfall there's a sea fog. probably worse for the vessels that are on the surface of the java sea. but we had nine aircraft yesterday, four helicopter five fixed wing. they are able to get some work done but, again, a second day in a row where they had to cut it short. let me give you a little climateology of indonesia. there's a big difference between surabaya and borneo. the equator is pretty much right over phere. overall across dez december is the worst. let's break it down. you can see how bad it is. january, february and march. we got three more months of worst rainfall for surabaya and the dry season doesn't begin until july. we go the north a little bit. closer to the equator. more rain here almost every month. when you split the difference it doesn't look good for the search-and-rescue teams. most of their work has to to be done at night that's when the seas are calm. if you are going to go back and look since the day we lost contact and rate the weather from one to terngs tenning the best the day we l

there's the java sea. you can barely see it behind me as the thunderstorm activity basically blossoms here and takes over the region here. there have been a few breaks however, the timing has not worked out. the breaks have occurred at night. the visibility is not going to be there for them. there's the box and we will continue to monitordayitor that. we will still have waves of showers and thunderstorms. this is the rainy season. it does not get wetter than december and january. the monsoon season in the java sea and indonesia. saturday 12:00 local, we continue to see a few breaks. by the time we get into saturday afternoon, this is the best time. we will have daylight and better visibility i think, for part of the day on saturday before the next wave begins to move in. by sunday we are back in to very heavy showers and thunderstorms here. weather is going to continue to play a role throughout the process as we have been talking about here. not through the weekend, but continuing into next week as we stil

those weather conditions are terrible out there in the java sea. the currents the high seas. i know those tigers want to get out there right now. but they can't get out there in those seas right now. and i see pictures of the divers in the boats. the depth of water is right at the limit that 100 foot 120 feet of depth of water is right at the limit for scuba divers. a scuba diver can stay down in that depth of water for ten minutes and then he has to come back up to the surface and they do decompression dives. as you show in the piece right there otherwise they have to use the surface supply divers that have a hose with air supplied to their helmets and that means they need a support vessel to put those divers in the water with helmets, so that's a whole different complicated dive profile. so it's just a very complex dive scenario. we were here nine months ago talking about this very same thing on the korean ferry disaster. these divers want to get down there and recover those victims. and they have to be safe or we're going to hurt divers. >> all right, guys thank you very m
