and demand abd-rabbu mansour hadi be allowed to return to power. for marks we go to a political activist and cofounder of one of the parties aligned with president abd-rabbu mansour hadi. he joins us live from sanaa. thank you for being with us. we have heard abd-rabbu mansour hadi give a decision on what needs to be done and what he is demanding of the houthis. what control does he really have at the moment, given that he is many miles away and rebels are in control of key areas in sanaa? >> thank you. here is one thing. i just wanted to comment on one thing that you said earlier, about not being legitimate. the department never accepted it. they never accepted the president. that's one thing. the other thing is abd-rabbu mansour hadi basically turned the table against the houthis, he is leading the country from the south, not leading - leading from the south. houthis - the government is in control. they have called for the people and the other thing is it will be curious and interesting to watch which political parties join abd-rabbu mansour hadi.

it's a significant development, knowing that abd-rabbu mansour hadi is now in aden his power base. >>o are we expecting him to come out and make a statement. what happens next? >> well you know abd-rabbu mansour hadi was the first sunni president of the united yemen. he was elected in 2012. this is someone that has the potential to steer them out of trouble for the transitional period and unify yemen, when forced to resign it was seen as an act of humiliation by the sunnis, by moving to aden it's significant. aden is the capital of a former marxist republic and is the focal point of the movement. and where most of the sunni political factions are convergingconverge converging to chart a path in the future. if abd-rabbu mansour hadi stays in aden the legitimate president in yemen, that could pave the way for more instability in the country. you may hear the southerners say that they breakaway. >> what does it mean for the talks with the factions that are meant to be taking place, and the statement made by the u.n. mediator? >> we know the talks were cancelled. they were supposed to tak

abd-rabbu mansour hadi is seen as a game changer. he had a couple of opponents and others agreed on a new legislative government. abd-rabbu mansour hadi's re-emergens from the shadows made it difficult to ignore him. and go ahead with the plan. constitutionally, he is the legitimate president. he can choose whether to step down or leave yemen from aden. many times and political formations in the south and north announced loyalty to president abd-rabbu mansour hadi, and expressed readiness to fight understand his leadership. but the lack of clarity left many confused. >>> children have been abducted in south sudan. they were taken in the town. witnesses surrounded the area going door to door rounding up boys. it's believed they were taken to be used as child slaves and are demanding their release. lawyers for the arrest in vens are asking for charges to be dropped against them. >> reporter: intelligence dressed in cam flig - this man has been indicted for conspiracy. transferred to a prison where another opposition leader has been held
