person called 911 at around 3:30 this morning saying that she -- that they were hit by a car near jaquelin and milipedas boulevard. they started driving in a neighborhood nearby and came to coyote street and saw a car on fire. the police officers were the ones who extinguished the fire there. they did find a woman laying outside of the car with serious injuries, firefighters were called to the scene. they weren't able to save her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. they put up the crime tape. this was put into a criminal investigation. they determined that this was the suspect vehicle that was involved in the hit and run accident. at this point we don't know if the woman, the body of the woman was the driver or the passenger in the car. if more people are involved. we do know that police are interviewing the other person who was involved in the accident. so, it's still very early on in this investigation. police are going to have this neighborhood roped off for several hours. we hope to have an update later on in the newscast. back to you. >>> thank you. jordan has executed two pris

involved in a hit-and-run accident that occurred at 3:30 this morning at malpitas boulevard and jaquelinon who was in a garbage truck called 911 reporting they had been hit. officers searched for the car that fled the scene and found it unfire on coyote street. they put out the scenes and found a woman with major injuries on the ground. she was pronounced dead at the scene and they told us what led them to this neighborhood. >> they were looking for any type of evidence of the suspect evidence. there was some debris that indicated that it may have come this way. >> there are scrape marks on the road near the suspect vehicle which may provide clues on how fast this car was traveling. they don't know whether the deceased was the driver or the passenger of the car. they're interviewing the two victims of the hit and run. we're told neither are injured. they're looking for witnesses of the accident to help them piece this together. we don't know the identity of the victim and it's too early in the investigation and the coroner won't be called until they're done with the investigation out her
