for the north bay, east bay and tri-valley it looks like one of the warmest locations is napa at 72 degrees. oakland, 66. right here across the tri-valley we go with 72 in pleasanton. let's look at the forecast. you can see generally through tomorrow it's all about a mild north wind helping to keep sunny skies in place. by thursday's forecast high pressure offshore still keeps mild weather in place. as we head throughout friday here's the change. upper area of low pressure dropping down from the pacific northwest. it's going to cool temperatures down and also give us a few showers. but that is the problem. it's moving from the northwest across the land and eventually down towards california by saturday and early sunday. so it's not picking up a whole lot of moisture from the pacific. so we're not going to see a big chance of major rainfall. right now, totals from this about .05 of an inch. dry weather on wednesday and thursday. colder here by friday in san jose. we'll go from 70 down to 64. and we'll continue that chance of showers again through saturday. i think a few residual showers may get left

increased sunshine across oakland, 68. tri-valley, 70.t you want to hear about, and that is the rainfall. now, as we have been talking about, we're not just looking at plain old storm system moving in. we're going to have this added layer, an atmospheric river of moisture. most important thing to know about this is subtropical moisture coming in from hawaii. it is a large stream of moisture. wherever that atmospheric river sets up that's where we expect the heaviest rainfall. looks like that's going to be pointed here at california. and you're going to see it's going to begin rainfall here as we head throughout 11:30 a.m. thursday, mainly north bay. . we're not going to get heavy rainfall we don't think, by what the models are showing, until friday. it gets very intense, a lot of red and orange showing up also possibly isolated thunderstorm activity and gusty winds with those heavy downpours. we will see at this point areas of rainfall continue through friday evening. and then we'll see a second round of rain arrive as we head throughout
