let's bring in rick smith. great to have you with us. >> thanks.here. >> it was an eps miss on inventory. revenue strong across the board. analysts like the revenue number. higher expenses seem to be what spooked the street. sgna, r and d will go up, this in order for you to grow and take market share, protect your dominant market share. can you give us color, though, on the trajectory of those expenses and how long they'll continue to be elevated? >> sure. well, you know, we're running two very interesting related businesses. we've got our core business, the taser weapons, it's growing and generating a lot of cash and highly profitable, but we have this new exciting cloud and wearables business that most people think of the body cameras, but it's really the back end is most interesting. that business segment grew at about 370% pace over last year. so as we look at that, we see very strong indications that now is the time for us to continue to invest in the growth that's happening. this is not speculative growth. we have the opportunity to really d

and we've just done a model where rick pildas and brad smith write about the 15th amendment and you'll see what they think is the subtle law on the question some of which the judge chief just mentioned and then they'll have statements about open and contemporary controversies. i want to sum it up again quickly because these are crucial points. ted just told us that some of the framers thought that to have 13th amendment ban private discrimination as the bings in the midst of slavery congress relied on that in passing the civil rights act of 1875. the supreme court struck down that act arguably violating the original understanding of the framers of the 13th amendment in the civil rights cases and it took until the 1960s in that jones case that he mentioned that you should go check out for the supreme court to actually uphold a ban on private discrimination under the 13th amendment. there's one final wrinkle we've just opened this great exhibit on kennedy downstairs which you can also go see after the show. the kennedy administration, because of those civil rights cases that the chief ju
