morgan and hampshire county schools are starting two hours late today. >>> companies hoping to use drones commercially are taking a close look at new rules proposed by the faa. tracieoins us live from capitol hill. tracie can you run down the new rules and what they indicate about how the faa wants commercial drones to be used? >> reporter: they indicate there needs to be limits. we saw that after the crash on the white house lawn. they want the drones of 55 pounds or less to fly only during the daytime, under 500 feet in altitude. five miles -- they have to stay five miles away from airports which is the same rule now for recreational use. and they want them under 100 miles per hour. and also specifying that the done operators, the pilots need to have an faa flight certificate. not the same as a pilot's license. but some certification there. and they want them in line of sight. that's the problem with the drone that crashed on the white house lawn. >> there's some rules as it relates to companies that might want to use the drones for delivery purposes. that's been the response? >> reporter: amazon said they wanted to prime air. you order something and it's at your
