was significantly shorter than usual meaning a lot of people actually delayed their trips just as vdot asked. that could be part of why virginia state police reported less than five accidents this morning in northern virginia. we fund some roads in pretty bad shape. they were all the ones you would expect to be bad. the side roads like this one on joplin road off of route 1 in dumfries and this one on horner road in wood brink. the busy streets like route 1 and 95 were in good condition....
