george's county police say around 8:30 last night, an officer pulled over a man along branch avenue and holbrooke drive. that suspect then drove off running over the police officer who then pursued him. the man was later spotted along branch avenue and he ee very much actually lost control of his car and crashed into three other vehicles killing a driver. he then fled on foot leading to a frantic chase by helicopter and k-9s. the officers can chase a suspect if the officer's life was put in danger but with one seemingly innocent man dead, some people we talked to are divided on the decision to chase. >> police are supposed to protect and serve. so police are supposed to protect and serve in harm's way, got to take the necessary actions. >> it would have been better if he would have got the license plate number. because at the end of the day, yeah you risk somebody else's life. jeanette: two other men were injured in this chase. one of them the police officer. there is an ongoing investigation into this incident. reporting in temple hills, jeanette reyes, abc 7 news. autria: new at noon, a prince
