nbc 10's monique braxton is live in barrington. know neek, what's monique, what's going on today? >> reporter: he's due to stand before a federal judge to face some of those charges. as you mentioned, they include conspiracy bribery and making false statements. now, the senator says he is vowing vindication. he says this will not end his career. so we came here overnight to review some of the reaction from the folks that he represents here in south jersey. the ranking democrat on the senate foreign relations committee is accused of using the power of his seat on capitol hill to benefit this man, wealthy florida eye doctor salomon melgen a political donor and personal friend. the indictment says senator menendez accepted golf trips, vacations to the dominican republic on melgen's luxury jet, a stay at a parisian hotel. we spoke to his constituents. >> it seems to me that people have been trying to bring down senator menendez for quite some time. and there's never been anything to it. i'm inclined to believe he's certainly innocent until proven guilty. >> i mean just because you hav
